BIO
I am self-taught since I was 11 years old, when I developped creativity almost unconsciously.
I spent great part of my time on personal experimentation and research until I met Master Hermes del Sol, representative of Mexican art, when he invites me to work at his Studio and finally motivates me to realize formal studies.
In order to integrate the artistic activity, I got into San Carlos National School of Plastic Arts in Mexico City, and after that, I definitively attend a professional education into the Plastic Arts School, at Guadalajara's University. At this time she alreadstarted to exert the profession.
I Use a personal symbolism since I was a child, and make shows an intuitive interpretation of my surrounding world.
Into my landscapes, creatures from alchemic worlds melt with elements of nature and got first influrnced by Middle-aged, Oriental and Celtic atmospheres, that drives the spectator into a quiet and peaceful world but also energetic.
I work on those themes due to my ascending family, comming from Albi, in southern France, the french Cathare city where Toulouse-Lautrec was born, and where rises the Sainte-Cécile fortified cathedral. At 1209, one of the cruzades that took place in this city.
Authors like Hieronimous Bosch, Nicolai Kalmakoff, Zdzislaw Beksinski, W. Blake among other anonymous miniaturist artists from the middle-age inspires me, melting Symbolism, Expressionism and Surrealism into my compositions as a result.
Also masters like Modigliani, Böcklin, Kahlo, Klimt, Lévy-Dhurmer or the japanese Nakamura Hochu are important for me, as are writers too, like W. Blake, Baudelaire, A. Schopenhauer, O. Wilde, M. Yourcenar...
